Christmas in July South Bay Meetup

Enjoy a Christmas in July Open House which will feature an exciting afternoon of tea themed drinks, foods, shopping and gift exchange. Plus CHOCOLATE!

Join us for this collaborative event of Anne’s SST@3 (Second Sunday Tea @ 3) Facebook tea lovers group, Angela’s Tipsy Tea and SF chocolate lover meetup group and our Let’s Go to Afternoon Tea meetup tea aficionados.

Relax and enjoy afternoon tea with friends, old friends and meet new ones.

Check out different teas at the Iced Tea Bar.

Enjoy Tipsy Tea Cocktails and tea inspired chocolates.

Shop with members selling unique and/or hand crafted tea/chocolate themed gifts. It is never too early to shop for the holidays!

Bring a holiday wrapped ‘white elephant’ tea themed gift to exchange*

Cost is $2 (at the door) for those bringing an afternoon tea/chocolate potluck item, enough to share. $12 (at the door) for those attending and not bringing a potluck item.

To organize foods a bit better we are suggesting folks with last names beginning with A-M bring chocolate/tea themed savories: folks with last names beginning with N-Z bring chocolate/tea themed sweets. Bring enough to serve 20 people a small serving.

Tea themed savories can be sandwiches (all shapes, sizes and fillings), salads, quiche, or soup. If you bring soup, please bring bowls.

Tea themed sweets can be any petite finger desserts, cake (mini cakes or full size cake, cookies, cheesecake, scones, crumpets, fruit salad, candy, eclairs, macarons, cupcakes. We do not have the facilities for frozen treats.

If you know what you will bring, please post it. This will give other tea loving attendees ideas what to bring.

Remember the container in which you bring your tea food is the container in which it will be served. Please bring a serving utensil, if needed. Putting your name on your things is a good idea.

This event is shaping up to be quite unique and lots of fun! See you then!

*optional, bring a gift if you would like to take a gift. Gift exchange guidelines: Let’s keep the gifts in the $15 price range and tea/chocolate themed. Let’s use holiday wrapping in keeping with Christmas in July. A great white elephant gift would be a tea/chocolate gift you have received, not opened, and cannot use. Another white elephant gift idea is a vintage or collectible tea/chocolate item(s). As a gift giver, if you would love to receive the gift you are bringing, you have a winner!
