London's Classical Music Meetup Group

Hi - this group is for anyone who wants to experience some of the many excellent classical music performances (including opera) which take place here in London...EVERYONE WELCOME (you don't have to know anything about Classical Music to join us).

I aim for one regular meetup a month, and sometimes extra ones as well! Each member is responsible for buying their own tickets for events (if you want, you can type your seat number in the 'comments' box when you rsvp, so other members can get seats near you). We meet up before the concert, during the break and also afterwards for a drink.

You can join this group for free online, and pay a contribution of £2 to the organiser on the day at any event you attend - this goes towards helping to cover costs paid to the meetup website.

The way this works is: I schedule a concert and buy a ticket. I put my seat number in the RSVP section on the event listing so people can purchase tickets near me if they want to. We meet before each concert, during the interval and again afterwards for a drink.

"Unfortunately for some reason I could not find the group. Tried the organiser's mobile, but probably there was no reception in the basement. It didn't help that my seat was in the circle so on a different level. Still, the music was good."

"Hi. Sorry I had to go pretty promptly after the concert, and couldn't see anyone around near the meet-up point. I had to get back to Southend. Lovely concert. The Dvorak and the Tchaikovsky were fun, full of great noises...."
