With PostGIS, you can retrieve, analyze, and edit geographic data. It also utilized in great mapping apps like Tilemill, Qgis, and cartodb.
There will be interactive presentations, so you're encouraged to bring your laptop!
Ever had questions like: where I can find a list of all the roads names in Cleveland? How many Metroparks are within a 1 mile radius from my house? Where's the closest coffee shop? Learn how to answer these kinds of questions _at scale_ with a PostGIS database.
