National Day of Civic Hacking at Cleveland Mini Maker Faire

Details
June 6, 2015, is the National Day of Civic Hacking (http://hackforchange.org)
and Open Cleveland, (http://www.opencleveland.org) Cleveland's Code for America brigade, will introduce people to the idea of civic hacking, coding projects, and how you can get involved.
We will have hands-on civic hacking projects that kids and adults can do including and not limited to:
• Editing OpenStreetMap (http://learnosm.org/en/beginner/introduction/), a free global map that people can update and freely use (the wikipedia of google maps);
• drawing a map of your neighborhood's boundaries.
• Continuing work on the Fix216 projects like improving the formatting and display of Cleveland Consent Decree (http://cleconsentdecree.com/)
• largelots - an online form to find and buy vacant lots in the City of Cleveland. (https://github.com/opencleveland/large-lots)
Stay for as long as you like and can!
People from all skill levels and backgrounds are welcome;
No programming experience is required!
We will also demonstrate existing civic hacking apps and talk about how technology and open data can influence our community positively by contributing through your skills, knowledge, and experiences.
RSVPs are not required but are encouraged since they will help plan to have enough laptops, materials, and space for attendees.
