I suggest meeting on Sundays from 6 to 9, with the first 1.5 hours spent on AI and the second 1.5 hours spent on Machine learning. I think a bunch of us will probably be taking both classes, so why not have both on one day and make 1 trip a week instead of 2. It will be easier to drive in and out of Cleveland and find parking on Sunday, work is much less likely to interfere, and social engagements are less likely in that day-time slot.
For a weekly study plan for the 7 weeks before the online class begins, I suggest everyone study the material in the scheduled courses syllabus, answer the corresponding questions in the book, and compare and discuss our answers at the meeting. That will cover 7 of the 10 weeks of the course, and thus we will be very well prepared by the time the course starts on oct 10th. I also think that going over material twice like that helps a lot in learning, remembering and using it. Also, the book is a 2 semester course, so getting a head start may allow more time later to personally study extra material in the book during the course. If you don't have the book yet, show up and we can talk about that issue also.
