RE: [humanism-174] Some thought

Shane, we’re sorry we missed you at the picnic. A few ideas from a professional would be welcomed! What we’re thinking of is for both the website (animated) and the t-shirts (static):

Pictures of our favorite atheists/freethinkers – each person should contribute a pic of their favorite so that we have a melting pot of ideas

Above the pictures should be something like either a swirling mass of ideas, symbols, words, all moving around each other like the planets would revolve around the sun

Some sort of halo “effect” with the same theme present throughout.

On the back of the t-shirts, where everyone gets involved once again, we’d like quotes from each of these famous people. Whatever people like to have on their t-shirts (within reason J ) is cool. For the website, we were thinking of either having this logo change each time a new page was clicked – meaning different words, symbols, etc., or having each face of the person we have on our t-shirts present him/herself each time a page is accessed.

Your friend Kurt sounds like a great resource, and an asset to the group! Bring him to Tremont and we’ll pick his brain, or he can borrow your computer and send over ideas through this system J

Everyone, please chime in with more marketing/logo ideas. Let’s put Shane to work here - LOL

Hey M's,

<<but we really need input on web spiders, and other marketing techniques to get ourselves up there on the search engines. Anyone have any experience in marketing websites? >>

I know a guy called Kurt who does that all day long for a company whose whole function is web marketing. And he's an atheist -- he might also be interested in joining us. I could ask him for some web marketing tips.

Michael mentioned the ugly logo on the Philly Freethinker's website. I'm sorry I haven't been diligently reading all of these, so perhaps someone has already volunteered. However, I'd like to design a logo if we still need one. I've been doing graphic design professionally for ten years and I'd be happy to help.
