Game Design Workshop

Details
The Cleveland Game Developers group is excited to announce that the next Workshop will be a Game Design Workshop at the Beachwood Public Library on Saturday, October 9th from 2:30 PM - 5:00 PM.
This meeting is open to the public and will be a workshop style event where developers, artists and designers can casually get together and interact. For this workship, we're going to ask everyone to participate in designing and creating game prototypes using common office supplies (provided by hosts). We will start promptly at 2:30 PM with a brief introduction, followed by unveiling the first Challenge's theme & mechanics. Each team will then then have 2 hours to work together to design a game that satisfies the Challenge using the basic materials provided (dice, chits, post-it notes, pens, etc). Once the prototyping phase is complete, we'll then make some time available for everyone to share their creations with each other during a play test phase.
It should be a fun, enjoyable event that anyone can participate in. There's no need for laptops or other technical skills. Just bring your imagination and creativity and see what you can learn and share with others. Really looking forward to seeing how this event turns out.
Please email me if you have any questions or concerns.
