MUVE-ED (Multi User Virtual Environments for Education), a start up company founded and staffed by Computer Science, Education, and Theatre faculty from Kent State University, is expecting significant funding to produce an advance virtual world, with many Second Life-like features, but especially tailored for online education. The environment will be built using the Unity engine and will required game development professional as subcontractors, especially those with
1) human avatar development and animation skills.
2) skills in developing lifelike scenes for educational quests, e.g. bogs for biological quests, ocean environments, polar environments, Mars scenes for astronomy quests, etc.
3) Unity programming skills, especially those those with the Unity networking environment, RakNet.
