Welcome, Clever Girls!

A group for intelligent girls (women?) to connect and make plans. Want to see a movie? To go to a show or a lecture? Have an extra ticket to something and all your regular cohorts are busy? Just feel like exploring the city or trying out a new place for brunch some weekend? Want to learn how to salsa or go out dancing? Post it here and see if anyone else wants to join you! I'll also try to plan some fun group events far in advance. Recent events include midnight classic movies/dinner out, lecture at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, friday night drinks, etc.

The vast majority of our members are in their late 20s to mid-30s and are predominantly well educated professionals in various fields.

All new members must be approved by the Organizer or invited to join by an existing member - we're acting as our own "screeners" here to expand our social circles. If interested, please fill out a complete profile/application to be considered for approval.

AS OF FALL 2009 WE ARE ACCEPTING NEW MEMBERS ON A VERY LIMITED BASIS TO MAINTAIN SOME CORE CONSISTENCY AND COHESIVENESS OF THE GROUP.

After you join, I can add up to 40 members as assistant organizers so others can plan events (I can designate up to 40 - after that we'll figure something out)! NOTE that assistant organizer status will not be granted until after you have met the group and are determined a good "fit" and new members may be subject to removal by the group if problems arise. To plan your own events until then they will need to be submitted through the existing organizers.

ALSO NOTE: while many women's social groups do events like pub crawls, exotic toy parties or clubbing - that is NOT what this group is about, so if that's what you're looking for please try one of the many other meetups.
