(MEETUP) Early-to-Bed Thursday (must know how to belay)

Come join our late afternoon/early evening climb so you can get to bed at a reasonable hour (or climb for 6 hours straight), and enjoy a much emptier gym (good for leading!).

This meetup is for those who have passed their belay test, but other than that, beginners are welcome. If you haven't quite gotten there yet, please check out our Friday meetups where you can try out climbing before you learn to belay (or if you just haven't passed your test at Cliffhanger Vancouver yet). We also have other beginner friendly meetups so keep an eye open for those :)

Also, you don't have to come with a belayer, we pair up and climb together. If you are new, or climbing with someone new, we will climb with you in a threesome at first so that you can watch the technique of your new belayer and communicate anything you need to about how you prefer to be belayed. It's your neck on the line - take care of it!

How to find us
Organizers had trouble being found in the past. If you are new, keep in mind that the staff at Cliffhanger know us and they know who the go-to person is for the meetups. Just ask them and they'll point you to us. :)

A copy of your online verification is required at the stay of the meetup. You will then receive your Meetup Membership Card. You also have the option of becoming a full-fledged VRCG member, which gives you access to ALL of our events, including outdoor climbing and training events!

This meetup, like all VRCG events, is volunteer-run and not part of any climbing gyms.

Responsibilities
