The Future of Cloud Storage is NAS
Hosted by Silicon Valley GenAI LLMs Developers
Details
Anand Babu (AB) Periasamy, CTO and co-founder at Gluster (http://gluster.com/) will talk about meeting the challenge of delivering solutions with the fastest path to public and private cloud storage.
Over the last decade server virtualization has advanced to become a tool for dynamically managing data center assets in the face of rapidly changing business conditions, unpredictable workloads and disaster recovery. Unfortunately, virtualization on the storage side dramatically lags that of servers. Still largely based on SAN, storage is straining to the breaking point and holding back the promise of cloud computing. This presentation will review best practices for enterprises to address their storage needs in a cloud environment, in order to reap the maximum benefits and cost savings.
Gluster recently launched Virtual Storage Appliances specifically designed for VM and cloud environments. For Amazon Web Services (AWS), GlusterFS is packaged in an Amazon Machine Image (AMI) for deployment on the AWS public cloud.
