I started creating html websites in middle school. I took classes in C++, VB, Asp.net, and Java at Penn State Behrend. My first job fresh out of college started with ColdFusion, and after being disappointed in how poor of a language it was I started dabbling in Ruby. Since then I've been a full time Rubyist.
I've been using Ruby for the last 2.5 years.
Interesting things that I haven't had time to learn myself. Like digging into middleware of Rails or alternatives to default Rails caching, uses for ruby that doesn't involve Rails. But really I just want to meet new programmers and hopefully teach them some of the things I have learned.
Not really, just meet a bunch of friendly people. Ruby groups in Pittsburgh haven't been extremely welcoming, which is odd because a lot of people talk about how welcoming people in these groups have been. However, that hasn't been my experience.

Rubyist hailing from Erie, but now hiding out in Pittsburgh. I use my Ruby/Rails chops to give MongoDB all the data it wants.
