The Southern Accent is the perfect restaurant for Halloween. We have been there for Halloween for each of the last 3 years and it was great. Halloween originally has its roots as a pagan holiday. Since pagan holidays have ties to New Orleans and Cajun/Creole cuisine, this restaurant is the appropriate choice for a Halloween dinner. The restaurant is one of the few Cajun/Creole restaurants in Toronto and has received several accolades, and the owner of the restaurant, Frances Wood, has made several trips to New Orleans for inspiration for the restaurant’s dishes.
The address of the restaurant is:
595 Markham Street
Toronto, ON M6G 2L7
Everyone’s big question probably is should I come in a costume?
YES, Definitely, but it is not required. Actually, though, this event was purposely scheduled on Halloween Day in order to give people extra incentive to dress up.
Subway to Bathurst. Then walk west on Bloor to Markham Street. Then walk a block south on Markham Street to the restaurant.
There is a $2 per person Meetup fee for this event.
The restaurant has a 3 course prie fixe menu for $27.50 plus tax and gratuity.
If you RSVP “yes” and change your mind about attending, please update your RSVP.
Those who RSVP “yes” are expected to show up.
You are expected to be at the event on time. In situations where you are late and the restaurant is full, your seat will be given away and not held, so please be on-time.
Attendance will be taken at all events and “no shows” will be tracked.
A person may be removed from the group for repeatedly being a “no show”.
A person who changes their RSVP to “no” with less than 3 hours before the start of an event without a good reason will be considered a “no show”.
A person who just briefly shows up at the event but does not stay at the restaurant for the meal will still be considered a “no show”.
