Over the last few Meet Ups, we have been discussing the 3 strikes rule.
1) If you have RSVP Yes 3 times for a Meet Up and then do not show up, then you will be deleted from my (Mike B) groups.
2) When someone RSVP for one of my Meet Ups, I send a memo saying that if they cannot come, then either change their RSVP from Yes to No on the site. If they cannot get to their computer, then give me a call on my cell number that is in the memo. 3) I will throw another option on here. The member who did not come has 48 hours (2 days) to contact the P O C of the Meet Up, either one of my Assistant Organizers or myself, with a valid excuse as to why they did not come. 4) If you do not abide to any of the above, if you RSVP Yes 3 times and then do not come, then you are deleted from the group, Do not waste my time coming up with excuses after you have been Deleted. I really do not care to read them. You had your chance before you were deleted so it is too late. This policy started on June 1st. If you had attended the recent Meet Ups then you would have known that. There is a member of Coffee Talk who RSVPed Yes for 2 Coffee Talk events last Saturday and did not attend either of them. That member has RSVPed Yes for an event this Saturday. If that member does not attend that event or change their RSVP to No, then that member will be deleted. I think that member might as well leave the group because probably Eventually that member will RSVP Yes and not show up again. 5) We do not want members who RSVP Yes and do not show up. That is insulting and disrespectful to the group. We are sitting there waiting around 15 minutes for that member to arrive. If we knew that person was not coming then we would not have to wait. If you do not like this policy, I really do not care what you like, you are more than welcome to leave this group. Most of you never come to the Meet Ups, never send your ideas of where you want to have a Meet Up, what you would want to do at a Meet Up, you have never looked at the Meet Up site to see what is going on. You are all welcome to leave because I really do not want those who do not want to participate in the events or to look at the Meet Up site in my group. I will later on resend the instructions on how to leave my Meet Up Groups if you do not know how to. 6) There were other things that were discussed at the most recent Meet Ups that I will send a memo on later, but I wanted to get this out.
