When you were in high school, did you think you had a promising career ahead of you in the performing arts? Were you part of every class, club and extra-curricular activity involving theatre, music or dance? Did you think you should be the star of the show, only to see someone else get the part? Did you stick with it anyway just because you loved it so much you couldn’t imagine a life without the performing arts?

Did your involvement wane after high school when your real life started and you realized that you probably couldn’t earn a living as a performer? Do you often fanaticize about going back and doing it all over again? When you watch a musical, do you wonder what could have been?

Well, wonder no longer. The long summer is over, and it’s back to school—even if decades have passed since you’ve set foot on a high school auditorium stage. There are no academic classes, though—no teachers, and no exams. And this time, you are the most popular kid in school, and the star of every show.

No matter what your age, you are welcome to join this group and realize your musical theatrical dreams. We’ll get together regularly and sing numbers from musicals—together as a chorus and individually as soloists. Afraid you’re not good enough? Don’t worry about that. Remember, none of us became stars. We’re just a bunch of young and old performing arts wannabes that never made it. But we can still sing and act and dance for each other in a safe, non-threatening environment.

Afraid you might suck after all these years? Not ready to perform yet? Don’t worry about that, either. None of us are ready, but we all have the urge to perform again someday, and we’ll have each other to help us along the way. So join us and give your inner performer a chance to shine again.

There are no auditions or try-outs. If you want to join and you promise to be as supportive to the others in the group as you want them to be to you, then you are already accepted. Just show up to one of our meetups where you can perform the first time you attend, or just sit in the back and watch until you’re ready to join in.

No pressure, only support—and the chance to be the star you’ve always known you should have been.

"Hi, I'm Whitney. I really enjoy peforming and I haven't done so in many years. I'd consider myself a decent singer just not a trained one. I'm looking to join a group who loves to peform just for the fun of it."
