Common Ground Adventures

Please Join us for an easy to moderate hike along the coast of beautiful Southern California. For those that wish too, we can hike down the hill to the historical cottages and perhaps put our feet in the water. There is no shade along this walk so please plan accordingly with sunscreen, hat and water.

General directions from Tustin area:

Take 55 south to 73 south Exit at MacArthur blvd (before toll road starts). Take MacArthur for about 3 miles till it dead-ends into pacific coast highway.
Turn left onto PCH ,Go thru downtown Corona del Mar - about 1.2 miles
At second light AFTER Poppy, turn right onto Cameo Shores Drive And make an immediate right turn and park the car.
If u get to Pelican Hill or Newport Coast you went too far.

Everyone can park on the street and we will walk into Crystal Cove State park from there.

It's a little less than a 3 mile round trip to the historical cottages and back. There's a nice deck at the cottages overlooking the ocean with seating. We can stop and get food at the Shake Shack on PCH or bring a brown bag lunch, if we want to take a break before we head back.

There are several restrooms along the walking path, which is primarily flat (on the plateau above the ocean). Dogs are allowed if they are leashed.
