Set against the backdrop of 1970’s, working-class Liverpool, ‘hush’ is the haunting story of a young girl’s coming of age. Central to the story is the magical unfolding of a unique love, between Gillian, and her baby sister Helen. With honesty, humor and tenderness, eleven-year old Gillian, draws us into her complex, and confusing world.
