2nd Tuesdays in 2014 Conscious Evolution is sponsoring an Alternative Healing information meeting. This is to introduce people to a variety of healing modalities. The emphasis will be educational, although all practitioners will have contact information available.

February is the first meeting and we'll be welcoming Sheila Benjamin who will introduce the benefits of aromatherapy. She'll have some oils to share and be talking about the healing properties of a variety of oils.

The Healing Power of Aromatherapy

Most of us have experienced the incredible power of essential oils without even realizing it. From the energizing aroma of a freshly squeezed lemon to the calming influence of a lavender bouquet, essential oils are all around us.

We will explore a few of the amazing oils that help uplift our moods, remove harmful bacterias from our environment and oils to improve our digestion. These concentrated, natural, aromatic liquids are extracted from shrubs, flowers, trees, roots, bushes and seeds. Plants depend on essential oils to grow, evolve and adapt to their surroundings. They also play and important role in defending against insects, disease, and harsh environmental conditions.

There will be some talk and a whole lot of smelling and experiencing. (Organizer note: Sheila calls herself a Professional Play Lady - guaranteed to be a fun experience.)

A brief bio about Sheila: I have been studying and teaching metaphysics for over 30 years and have continually been interested in Health and Wholeness. My working ministry has been as a Certified Therapeutic Recreational Specialist. In short I have worked in the medical scene for a while and have seen the limitations of Western medicine. I am very interested in sharing and learning about all forms of energetic healing.

There is a cost for us to use this space. We will have a jar for contributions to offset the expenses.
