Third Tuesday - Evening Walk - Christmas Light Walk - Olympic Manor Ballard

Take some time out of the busy holiday season to enjoy some exercise with your corgi and at the same time enjoy the spirit of the season.  We will start at Larsen's Bakery (arrive a little early if you want a sweet treat beforehand) and we will walk to Olympic Manor and enjoy their Christmas Displays.  Bring a flashlight and lights for your dogs.

Olympic Manor near Greenwood (Mid-December)
The Olympic Manor neighborhood in Seattle has it in their homeowners association rules that they are encouraged to decorate for Christmas each year. Dozens of homes are decorated and it's a longtime holiday favorite in Seattle. Don't be surprised to see limos driving through. Address: Start at Northwest 85th Street and 23rd Avenue Northwest.

We had a nice time: Larsen's Bakery - Oh Boy!! The Corgi walk was well organized, and the home's light displays were beautiful - We haven't been to a Christmas light show since we were in Sand Diego many years ago. Nice healthy walk too - Without hills! 5 stars!
    Good people and dogs too!
    Merry Christmas Everyone (People Too)

What a great turn out tonight. Weather, although chilly, was dry and good for walking. The lights were beautiful. Thanks for coming out and sharing the holiday spirit tonight. Happy Holidays everyone.

I will assess the weather situation tomorrow morning, so please check this site before leaving to attend this meet up to see if it is still on, postponed or moved. thanks. I think the storm is supposed to have passed.

Larsens bakery is open until 7:30 on weeknights. If you want to pick up a sweet treat before (or to eat along the way) be sure to stop by between 6:30 - 6:45. I would like to start walking at 7 or not too long afterwards. There is street parking along 24th and along 80th. Just be aware of the no parking signs near the corners. There is also a small parking lot that belongs to the church on the other corner. It does say for church school only, but my friend parked there last year no problem so if you want to take your chances there you can. It is a few blocks walk to Olympic Manor which will be good for the dogs to stretch their legs and get settled into the walk before we get to the Xmas neighborhood. If you are arriving late, I think you can park along 85th near 23rd and , hopefully, meet us in Olympic Manor.
Wish for good weather and see you later.
I drive a Blue Hyundai Tucson, so look for it. I may have sugar on my mouth.

When I did this last year with some friends, we found street parking around Larsen's Bakery and walked the few blocks to Olympic Manor. I do plan on going by the area in the daylight beforehand to scout out the area and see if there is a better place to park. Will post before the meet up happens. I do not think you can park along 85th nor in the neighborhood itself.
