Second Saturday Green Lake Walk

A once a month walk around Green Lake. Let's gather on the second Saturday of each month to celebrate Corginess. We can do a lap (or two for those needing to get really tired out) and accumulate our miles to Cardiff. This is a central location and able to accomodate many.  We can gather for coffee before or lunch afterwards, but plan on starting the walk at 10am and spending an hour or two walking.  (extreme weather will cancel, normal Seattle rain - probably not).

ABOUT THE PARK

Green Lake is one of Seattle’s most beloved parks. Its expanse of water and green space in the center of a dense urban neighborhood draws thousands of people daily from all over the city. The park serves as a natural preserve for hundreds of species of trees and plants, as well as numerous birds and waterfowl. The newly reconstructed 2.8-mile path around the lake provides a perfect recreational spot for runners, bikers, skaters and walkers. Many others use the athletic fields or visit the park for boating, picnics and swimming. Also, make sure to visit the Green Lake Small Craft Center.

    Howdy,

So I figure it's time my corgi had puppies. I'm thinking more give most of them to friends and family versus anything for profit. Anyone with AKC registered male corgi want to me on my 'let me know' list when she's in heat next?

It'd probably be later summer next time she's in heat.

    Hello.

One of my favorite websites hasn't had a new post on it in four months! I'm asking this Corgi group to contribute, simply for my enjoyment!

thanks for the heads up on this. I am still going to hold the green lake walk but we will be parking and meeting at the Woodland Park parking lot on N50th Street instead of by the boating center (probably be way too congested there). It is just a short walk down to the lake from there. hope you can make it.

Gosh, it was great to see so many able to work around the road closures and still be able to be at the meeting place on time. This is normally a great meeting area with lots of parking. Sorry for the confusion today. Still had a great walk walk anyways. It was nice to see everybody and run into others that weren't part of our group. Hope to see you all next month if not before. If anybody hears of events like this please be sure to pass the info along so we can update more than an hour before the event. Thanks for being good sports everybody.

We won't be able to make it after all, because we're meeting with a corgi who needs a new home and his family! Sad to miss meeting everyone!

Did anybody count the corigs. It was over 20 at the start, how many did we pick up along the way. I think I am going to go with 25 for our Cardiff miles.

Work came up - I'll be taking care of a Lab puppy who is probably too rowdy for the Corgis' refined sensibilities... Hope to make it next time :)

Hoover and I will be there. We are new to the meetup!

Looks like a big turnout for tomorrow. Welcome to all the new members attending for the first time. Meet by the parking lot next to the rowing stands. We will start shortly after ten am. If you are running late, I plan to walk counter clockwise so you can pick us up somewhere along the way. We may not get around to meeting everybody today and we may spread out but don't be afraid to introduce yourself to anybody with a corgi. Most of us are friendly or can at least pretend to be for an hour or so. So get your corgi on And see you all tomorrow.

Please remember when preparing for this walk that when pictures are taken of your short dogs very rarely are your own faces in the picture but your feet always are. Therefore take some time and think carefully of the shoes you put on your feet. We may have a funky, footwear contest or the ugliest shoes worn (they must be comfortable and walk appropriate however). Voting begins as pictures are posted. :)
