We will have the following talks:

1. "C++ Templates: More Powerful Than You Think" by Oleg Girko (30 min)

Abstract: Templates is a feature that is more powerful than many C++ developers realise. This talk will introduce what templates actually are and how to use them as functional programming language that is interpreted during C++ program compilation to manipulate code and generate procedural program.

2. "A portable C++ 14 work-stealing task system - Making the most of multiple cores" by Justin Durkan (1 h)

Abstract: The presentation walks through the creation of a simple C++14 task system designed to maximize the performance for multicore CPU’s.

This event will be as informal as possible and we'll have some pizza and beer to help everyone enjoy the evening and socialize. Please feel free to interrupt the speakers if you have any questions.
