Make your own fairy wings!

Haven't you always wanted your own pair of fantastic fairy wings? Come and make some! They're actually pretty easy. Mostly it requires some heavy duty wire, tights/nylons, and paint. Also elastic or ribbons to keep them on your back. :)

We will be providing heavy wire (think coat hanger weight, but on spool) and tights, nylons, paint, brushes, permanent markers, and glitter. When designing, keep in mind that the tights are a little thicker so they are tighter and work better with a narrow shape, whereas the nylons are lightweight and work well for a wider shape. We'll have some pliers with which to manipulate the wire, but if you have any you'd like to share for the night, that would be great too. As always, if you have a particular idea or something specific you'd like to use, feel free to bring it! Check out some of these great ideas:

I wanted to bring my 11year old but have no sitter for my others.. Would it be ok if I brought my wee ones too?

If they can manage not to hurt themselves on wire, yes. :)

I am very sad at my being out of town for this. This will have to be a self crafting adventure for me. Have fun!

You can definitely make butterfly wings using this method as well. It's pretty much up to your imagination :)
