Verdugo Mountains 10K Trail Run

"The course begins in beautiful Brand Park, climbs steadily to one of the highest points in the Verdugo Mountains, and then heads back downhill for a fast descent to the finish. Breathtaking views of the L.A. Basin, the San Fernando Valley, and the Pacific Ocean await you at every turn. From the race’s highest point, at 2,670 feet above sea level, the panoramic view of the San Gabriel Mountains is truly spectacular.

HIKERS: Hikers (all people who plan on walking the course rather than running) will also start at 8:00 A.M. Hikers will line up behind the runners in the starting area. Keep in mind that this is a timed event. Please do your best to complete the course in a timely manner. The course will remain staffed until Noon, at which point the Brand Fire Road will be re-opened for use by the general public. This allows hikers to traverse 6.2 miles at a pace of 38 minutes per mile, a generous time allowance."

Day of Race (May 6th) - $40.00

FOR EVERYONE’S SAFETY:

No strollers or dogs

Please stay to the right of the fire road when being passed by another runner or when encountering a runner coming in the opposite direction. The Verdugo Mountains 10K is an out and back course, so there will be two-way traffic. The fire road is sufficiently wide enough to allow for two-way traffic, as long as participants stay to the right in such situations.

If you choose to wear a personal listening device, please keep the volume low enough or one earpiece removed so that you can hear another runner attempting to pass and/or the instructions of race staff."
