A word is dead
When it is said,
Some say.
I say it just
Begins to live
That day. -Emily Dickinson

Words are living things, with bodies and souls. Sound is the body; meaning is the soul. Creative Speech builds a lively sound body for your speech, so the meaning can shine through. Confidence, breathing and listening follow naturally from this work. Harmonious group dynamics result, because we tap into the source of all energy. We use speech everyday, but how often do we speak creatively? Creative Speech teaches us that speech, like singing, is an art which can be learned. You need never strain your voice again. This meetup site contains everything I'm teaching these days, both in West Philadelphia and Mt. Airy. I also offer individual lessons, and will teach custom workshops for a minimum of 2 students.

Creative Speech comes from Rudolf Steiner's work on speech and drama, which began in 1919 and has been developed by hundreds of speech artists throughout the world since then. I graduated from a four-year training at Artemis School of Speech and Drama in England. Their website is: artemisspeechanddrama.org.uk
