Handling an Open Source Pivot
Scott Morse created the npm package bun-workspaces, which provides enhanced features directly on top of Bun's native workspaces for JavaScript/TypeScript monorepos. However, the desire to support NodeJS and package managers beyond Bun meant an identity crisis for the package, so a name change was needed and much more. Scott will talk through how he approached the pivot to the new "pacwich" package, streamling migration for his users via resources for both people and agents. He'll also cover the technical strategy of the pivot, balancing agentic and traditional development practices, since supply chain open source like this demands high correctness and critical review.https://pacwich.dev
