I am organizing a new meetup called the Greater Hartford Python Group that will focus on software development and the Python Programming Language with the objective to help members grow to become more productive, more effective and more knowledgeable software architects and developers. I have scheduled a first organizational meetup for Tuesday, April 3rd at 7pm at the Barnes & Noble Bookstore in Farmington, CT. I intend to offer beginning and advanced Python tutorials myself and encourage group members to present on Python and Python-based applications. Those applications may span several domains but will certainly include an emphasis on web development concepts and frameworks. While you may not be a Python programmer today, Python is is a fun, powerful, yet easy-to-learn programming language with a clear, readable syntax, natural expressiveness and versatility that makes it ideal to illustrate and explore software architecture, web development and other computing concepts. Please consider joining this meetup or attending our organizational or future meetings to strengthen your knowledge and skills in software development and web technology. Please pass the word to others that may be interested. More information is available at http://www.meetup.com/The-Greater-Hartford-Python-Group.
