I thought we'd wrap up a very interesting 2008 with a good old fashioned networking dinner for executives in media and related industries. We'll have a few tables at Fat Cat Joes - known for great pizza and their wine selection.
I'll also be there asking people what types of programs they are interested in for 2009. In addition to meetups, we'll be doing more panel, roundtable and conference programs through CT Digital Media (www.ctdigitalmedia). Please do come with ideas and suggestions.
Please note this is a not a sponsored event so while entry is free, the restuarant will probably want you to pay for the food you eat and wine (or other liquids) you drink.

We had a terrific group of about 30-40 at last night's dinner gathering in Norwalk. It was a very lively crowd made up of startups (Beeing), to content creators (actors, directors, head of a southern rock band) to investors, marketers and technologists showed up - all the parts of the digital media ecosystem. Next we are looking at a networking event and panel focused on the year ahead in 2009. The first quarter of the year is driven by news out of CES (consumer electronics), NATPE (broadcasting) and the World Mobile Congress (wireless) all of which have digital media at the top of their agenda. We are also looking at doing jobs, business and talent fair to show what career and entrepreneurial opportunities are being created by Connecticut's digital media industry. It looks like we'll have a great mix of people at the upcoming dinner. We have a total of 27 RSVPs (from Meetup, ctdigitalmedia.com and other related networks) so far plus half a dozen maybes. We have everyone from entrepreneurs to developers to corporate execs, communications professionals, investors and designers.
