Culti Randstad Donation Policy
On some meetups, Arjan asks people to make a donation for charity. The donated amount will be small, but if people like, they can transfer more money to the same fund themselves. The donations Arjan is asking for, are about creating awareness for local and global problems more than anything else.
Details about donations will be communicated in this topic, and will be linked from The Culti Group Grand Central Group on facebook. Also, all members of Culti Group om Meetup will be updated about all through the newsletter. Also evidence of the donations made will be made available.
Fundraiser for Meet Kate
As most of us know, in more and more area's in Africa things are getting better, but help is still needed in many countries in Africa, just like anywhere else for that Mather. Meet Kate is a children's Home in Africa. It's founded by Kelly de Vries, the daughter of local hero Peter de Vries. This is a pretty basic fundraizer: let's help some kids who really need it.
The Funds to be raised
In the entire fall/winterseason of 2012/13, funds will be raised for Meet Kate. The first fundraiser will take place on September 30. When winter is over, Arjan will transfer the money raized to Meet Kate and a scan of the transferred money will be placed online. Until January 5, EUR 18 was collected.
This amount of money might be small, but as mentioned before: Culti Group Randstad does not want to show of with big amounts of money raised. People that like to donate more, can do so free of any moral pressure. Also, the focus is on supporting funds that are working on long time solutions. The idea is not to help starving people that started needing help already 6 months ago, the idea is to offer help to people at the very moment they need it. When they are still in good shape. Therefor there wont be pictures of kids that look very sad and are already burned for life - no - the pictures are of children that might very well end up in that situation, unless they get help in time.
Meet Kate is doing that exact thing.
