This morning I have been reading the comments about the meetup to be in Köln, this Friday. So far, the Meetups in Köln are.... A bit behind schedule :). People turn up late of not at all and well... Just take a look at the comments :). => http://www.meetup.com/cultiNRW/events/142572452/
The comments are saying"What can you do for me?". This, while the meetups are 100% for free. It doesn't say: "What can I do for myself and for each other?". No one should ever be asked to do something for someone else, that's like bringing water to the guy next door and dying of thirst yourselves. That's not very Culti. But to do something for yourselves and each other.... That's Culti!
In Culti Group there are no leaders. It's just a network. The group is the leader and also the group is responsible. There are two events coming up, one in Düsseldorf and one in Köln. I am the host but I am the online host only. If no one helps themselves and each other, than the meetup wont be good. If a lot of people help themselves. Culti Group, BTW, is not German. It's international. Therefor, the level of organization is not the same as what you find on the job.
The fix is simple: if I am the Online Host, than people are invited to help out a bit. If people do.... We will have a WONDERFULL Meetup. If people don't... Than you wont have a nice meetup.
It's in YOUR hands. YOU are the Leader here! Because you are leading by example :)
Köln, October 18 => http://www.meetup.com/cultiNRW/events/142572452/
Düsseldorf, October 25 => http://www.meetup.com/cultiNRW/events/143969282/
Let's make it happen :)
If you want to help by committing to being there more or less on time, or by bringing a Meetup Sign, or by dropping one of your mobile numbers online, than just let it be heard in the commentline :)
Thanks for reading!
