Happy August,
Trying new cupcakes is one of the fun things about cupcake meetups and this time we're adding doughnuts to the mix. This event we will visit two places in BedStuy, Brooklyn. Wear your walking shoes.
First, we are meeting at Heavenly Crumbs (http://www.heavenlycrumbs.com/Heavenly_Crumbs/Cakes.html) 355 Franklin Ave
(between Greene Ave & Quincy St) for cupcakes. There are raves for their red velvet cupcake!
Second, we will walk down to DOUGH 305 Franklin Ave, the famous doughnuts that are at Smorgasburg and other places around the city.
How to get there. The closest subway stop is the C at Franklin Ave, the Fulton Street stop on the Franklin Avenue shuttle, or the G at Classon Avenue. Check HopStop (http://hopstop.com/) for how to get there from where you are.
Bring cash. Neither of these places accept credit cards.
RSVP The attendance to RSVP ratio has been particularly low, so in order to keep doing meetups, I want to encourage you to rsvp and prepay $2 to reserve your spot. If we get 12 rsvps, then we will do the event. If not, then I will cancel and refund your $2.
