About Crazy for Cupcakes + Crafts! (NYC)

WHAT WE'RE ABOUT:

Crazy for Cupcakes + Crafts is a group for cupcake lovers who love to craft or be creative. It's time to feed your creative soul a cupcake! What does that mean? It's simply my way of saying you're invited to make time for fun, treat yourself to something delicious, and express your creativity with like-minded people in the form of crafting. We meet on weekends in and around Manhattan. It's free and fun to join!



WHAT WE'LL DO:

Crafting is my first love, so we'll be doing lots of it! Hurray!

Crazy for Cupcakes + Crafts members will participate in cupcake-themed craft events, including scrapbooking, cardmaking, 3D objects, watercoloring, and more. Plus, we'll have some non-cupcake crafting workshops as well.

We'll also eat yummy cupcakes from a variety of bakery spots in NYC. The focus of this group is on crafting and enjoying cupcakes. We will not be baking or cooking. However, you may bring your own homemade cupcake to share with the group, share recipes with others or even bring photos of your cupcake creations. I am open to your suggestions and look forward to hearing from all of you. With this group, the possibilities are endless! Come along for the ride!



WHO CAN JOIN:

Anyone who has an interest in cupcakes and/or crafting. You must also have a good spirit and personality. Please check the egos and bossy behavior at the door. If you're under the age of 18, you may join but please be mature and ask your parents' permission.

Do you own a bakery or cafe that serves cupcakes? We'd love to be invited to places that will allow our group to craft and enjoy your delicious cupcakes at the same time. In exchange for your kindness, we'll be sure to buy plenty of cupcakes, hot cocoa, etc. to support your business! Please contact me if you'd like to invite us to your cupcake bakery.

Don't have enough space for a group but still want to keep in touch? No prob! Please feel free to contact me with any cupcake-related news pertaining to your business, such as discounts, freebies, special events and I'll be sure to pass along to our members. Thanks a bunch!

ATTENDANCE AT MEETUPS:

When you receive an invitation to attend an event, kindly RSVP "Yes" or "No." An accurate RSVP list will help me plan events you'll enjoy and also will help me prepare enough supplies for each and everyone of you who plan to attend. If your plans change and you're unable to attend, please update your RSVP to "No."

Three strikes rule: Anyone who RSVPs "Yes" for an event and then fails to show up and does this three times in a row will be removed from the group. No excuses. That means, you decided to RSVP "Yes" and then still didn't show up to events for 3 times in a row. Please don't be a no-show. It's rude to everyone in the group.

CONFLICTS:

I've learned that Meetup is a great way to meet new people and that on occasion conflicts will arise. If you feel that another member is being rude, mean, or confrontational in any way please contact me immediately so that I may be aware of the problem. I want this group to be a happy place for likeminded people can get together for fun, laughs, cupcakes and creativity.. Anyone hurting the friendly dynamic of the group will be removed.

ADVERTISING/PROMOTIONS:

Using our meetup group -- includes using message boards or even contacting our members -- for the sole purpose of promoting your own meetups, classes, parties, retreats, events, crops, etc. is not allowed. If you want to share something with the group that in any way might be considered advertising, marketing or promoting, please e-mail me first via Meetup and let me decide if it's suitable for the group.
