Mark your calendars, Tuesday, August 13th, 2013 the Dallas Interactive Marketing & Internet SEO/SEM Meetup will be having their August Meetup! Join us and our guest speaker Greg Gifford for an informative presentation entitled "How To Be A Local Search Superhero".  Local search is one of the toughest areas of SEO to master.  This ever changing landscape requires a lot of knowledge and continued testing to rank well.

Greg Gifford is a highly sought after speaker on the topic of Google local Search both at the local and national levels.  Greg speaks routinely at conferences such as PubCon on local search and other aspects of SEO.

His unique presentation style always involves lots of humor and you are sure to hear Greg reference some of his favorite movie quotes and video clips.  This will not be your average PowerPoint presentation.  Do not miss out on the opportunity to hear his informative and fun filled presentation!

Topics that will be covered in the presentation

- Learn how local SEO is different than traditional SEO
- Learn about the new Local Carousel and what it means if you're in a Carousel niche

We are excited to be having our Meetup at Connective Hub.  Connective Hub is a community that combines the diversity of a collaborative working space, the structure and capabilities of a successful company, the discipline of a business incubator, the atmosphere of a hip coffee shop, the flexibility of a nationwide executive office and the power of an entrepreneurial community. Well, that defines the Connective hub in a nutshell.

Honestly one of the best presentations, for any subject, that I've seen in long time. Greg did a phenomenal job providing DEEP, ACTIONABLE information, not just glossing over the subject with 101 information. Excellent job.

Wow! Greg Gifford put the snap crackle POW into every slide. I agree with Jay Lohmann who said, "Greg did a phenomenal job providing DEEP, ACTIONABLE information, not just glossing over the subject with 101 information."

This presentation was proof that you can't put a pricetag on quality. $5 for loads of insightful tips, complimented by an entertaining power point to keep the audience zoned in.

Greg said he's doing a similar presentation for MOZ in a few weeks using the same deck and doesn't want to annoy them by releasing it early.

BTW Can we re-post the Connection Hub upcoming calendar somewhere here? Their website has a lot of TBA going on.

Excellent presentation, much meatier than usual. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

The only drawback to this presentation was the scrunched timing. Greg had to pack in the last 30 mins. with almost half of his slides, staggering the flow a wee bit. I would've hung around an extra quarter if he decided to take his time.

    Fantastic! Greg is GD Batman!

    2 · August 14, 2013

    • Richard W.

GD is an offensive word and I'm not easily offended. I understand the point. It could be made in a less offensive way. I agree that Greg knew his stuff and was a great speaker. Super content and information.

Greg's presentation was awesome!!! Tons of helpful local search information and directions were provided.

Super content. Would have loved a cheat sheet on tools. I am not sure if he was swearing, or accurately describing Google's desire to mess with anyone who attempts to predict their behavior or to help others design websites that Googlebot will like.
