This group celebrates living the good life in DFW, seeking out bests and favorites that the area/city has to offer, gratefully accepting the discoveries we're granted, learning about them in their societal and anthropological context. Many activities will center around food & drink (as the group name suggests), but we will also branch out, occasionally, to related topics. We'll explore quality restaurants, lounges, patios. We'll learn about food (chocolate, anyone?) and drink (not just wine). We might go on short road trips (central TX BBQ?). You might think of this as a group of gourmands or cognoscenti. With Japanese food, we will try to have a Japanese native lead us; we'll get instruction from a professional chef. Before a road trip, we'll "do our homework" on our destination. Follow a French art viewing with a French meal? CONTEXT! Everyone is encouraged to voice opinions. We will sometimes blow $ budgets, so SAVE UP, but the organizers do not intend to collect any personal fees/profit.
