Advanced Responsive Theming

In this meetup, we are going to dig deep into Drupal theming, and in particular, responsive theming.  It's relatively new in the web world, but is quickly becoming the de facto way to support all variety of devices viewing your website.

There are a variety of themes available on Drupal.org, many of which are responsive. If you have ever tried, however to create a custom [sub-]theme you may have noticed it takes a bit of work to get it just right. This session will focus on creating a fully responsive custom sub-theme using the base theme Bootstrap.

Drupal theming expert Mark Carver will also explore the usage of additional modules, methodologies and other advanced techniques. Navigating the Drupal theming infrastructure can be a rather daunting task, to say the least. Let's simplify it!

This is an intermediate to advanced session, and some knowledge of Drupal theming will be useful.

Great Meetup!! David, thanks for the SEO link, I asked that. Mark the following post details the concerns from the SASS perspective re Bootstrap/LESS. Though as mentioned any use of preprocessors is a huge improvement. Very detailed btw so grab a cup of coffee. http://drupal.org/node/1801582#comment[masked]

I've recently been working quite a bit with the Twitter Bootstrap theme in Drupal, so I was pretty familiar with the subject. Nevertheless, I came away with quite a bit of additional information thanks to Mark's excellent and very thorough presentation.

It's a little hard to believe Mark when he said this was his first time presenting. Thanks for your efforts. Job well done!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
