Open House 2012

The Dallas Makerspace will be holding the 3rd annual Open House on Saturday, November 10th. It will run from noon until midnight at 2995 Ladybird Lane, one block east of Walnut Hill / Denton Station. There will be excellent food, cool projects, free classes, and lots of stimulating discussion!

Come out to see what's going on! We'll have:

  • New and vintage electronic gaming in our Lounge.
  • Soldering classes in our Electronics/Robotics room.
  • Root beer brewing and Hydroponics in our Bio Room.
  • The Dizzy Fling--a carnival type game which was recently featured on Good Morning Texas!!, various CNC projects, the Networked Vend Will-call machine, and more in the Garage/Warehouse.

We'll also be showcasing:

  • Nicole LeCody's vintage cameras and darkroom produced photographs
  • Steve Rainwater's Found Object Robot Art, vintage cameras, and Traveling Arc
  • Alyssa Pipe's R2D2, walking hexapod robot, and maybe ord-bot 3d printer

See you there!

Great meeting everyone and seeing how much is going on. I'm new to Dallas and this is only my second foray out into the area to see what's available for someone with wide interests. MakerSpace has a wider diversity of interests than I have seen in a group...uh...ever.
    Good information, good time. Thanks

The map shows the location 6.8 miles WEST of Walnut Hill station, but the description says one block EAST of Walnut Hill station. Which is correct?

Oh I see. You are referring to the "Walnut Hill/Denton Station" which is on the Green line, but there is also a "Walnut Hill Station" on the Red line near Central Expressway.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
