Pros and Popups

Pros,

Thanks for coming out to our first meetup last month. We were flabbergasted by the talent of the group and feedback on what we might be able to make this group become.

For our next meetup we've decided to make the theme popup events. VeraCruz has kindly agreed to host us at their cool new popup art gallery. We'll have a couple speakers ranging from popup venue owners to popup event organizers.

Here's the agenda:

630 - Networking and drinks

700 - Kick Off

730 - Speakers

800 - Open Mic

815 - Networking then off to the bar

The speakers:

1. Peter Chang - No Kings Collective, an overview of running some of DCs most highly acclaimed popup events

2. Laurenellen McCann - Sunlight Foundation, an in-depth look at running an Awesome popup event = Indiana Jones Boulder of Doom

3. Roger Horowitz - Pleasant Pops, How to turn a popup popsicle stand into a food truck and finally into a farmhouse market/cafe

See you there!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
