Fort McHenry Field Trip this Sunday August 21, 2011

Sunday, August 21, is the field trip to Fort McHenry in Baltimore, where Francis Scott Key witnessed the Battle of Baltimore (War of 1812) and wrote the poem that became our national anthem.

Meetup time at Fort McHenry is 11:30 AM, and Admission Fee is $7.00

Note that part of Fort Avenue, leading into the national park site, is closed for rebuilding by the railroad bridge. Visit the Fort McHenry webpage for detour directions or see my own proposed alternative route in the comments of the meetup.

After visiting Fort McHenry we could go over to the Italian festival near St. Leo's Church in Little Italy. Admission is $1.
