OpenCoffee DC now has a meetup group. This group exists to work with other existing and potential OpenCoffee groups in the DC area, to have a regular Open Coffee events in DC. You can read about OpenCoffee here (http://www.opencoffeeclub.org/), and it is a global network for entrepreneurs, developers and investors to chat, network and grow.

This group is intended to compliment the many other entrepreneur meetups & groups in the DC/VA/MD area. We're holding Open Coffee events to draw people together and to enable more great ideas & people to succeed in the local area. Read the About Us page for more details - http://entrepreneur.meetup.com/1767/about/

The first event was May 9, 2008, and was a great networking gathering & discussion session. 2009 events will be set up starting in the spring.

Want to help? Anyone interested in being a part can contact the organizer to find out more. The group will ensure that there is at least one facilitator at every opencoffee event, preferably two.

Also, there is a separate running series of Baltimore OpenCoffee (old post related to it - http://www.cogmap.com/blog/2008/05/10/baltimore-opencoffe...)
