Hey folks - check out the upcoming "Day of Civic Hacking" event on June 1st: http://dchackforchange.eventbrite.com

This will be a great opportunity to get to work with local community groups and federal agencies alike, over the course of a hackathon-style sprint. Venue and other details are TBA, but you can sign up now and stay tuned!

Thanks Greg. I'd like to add that to our events page. Can you send me a logo so we can add it? Thanks.

I'll be there tonight. Also, this is my first time going. Will there be food, or should I eat beforehand?

    Thanks!

Sorry just noticed this: usually we don't have food, but sometimes we do. :-) Generally speaking, I like to provide food only on "special occasions" e.g. when an additional sponsor (besides the host) wants to provide it. There is also extra work involved…

Not as well attended as I expected, but very nice technical presentation on PEP for adding Enum as a type for Python 3.4

I really don't understand why we can't make our RSVP list reflect reality :-). I think you are right, maybe we got about half of the expected attendees. In general, I've come to expect about 60% of whatever meetup says.

Great meetup tonight. Thanks to Alex for organizing, and thanks to Browser/nclude for the space. I am greatly looking forward to the meetup next month.

Bummer! Just noticed this group and joined this evening - missed the May meeting. Sounds like an interesting one.

Looking to get my feet wet with Python. Seems like all the cool kid iOS developers are doing it. :-)

I just started learning Python 3, my first steps into programming, 2 weeks ago, with Head First "Programming."
