This meet-up is for professional black women in the DC metropolitan area to socialize and network. We are members of an active social group for black women, DC Sistagirls. Also, consider joining our yahoogroup ( http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dc_sistagirls/)

We are about getting together with like-minded women, to relax, de-stress and sometimes learn something new.
Ambition requires that we work hard to attain our goals. We are committing to getting together monthly to have some "girl-time". Gather with women in your local area who share the same goals and interests as you.

We are not the typical DC networking group. Our events are centered around fun activities and are very very casual. Many/most of us communicate through the yahoogroup... And we focus on getting to know each other as friends primarily.

We occasionally participate in meetups with other groups. It is another way to have fun, meet more new people.
