Welcome to the only group for Dance Video Games in the entire Meetup.com website!

Dance video games are music/rhythm video games that encourage movement by directing steps and grading accuracy. Popular dance games include Dance Dance Revolution, In The Groove, and Pump It Up. Each dance game is different in game play and songs, so we plan meetings to highlight each game.

Everyone from Chicago, the surrounding suburbs, and visitors are welcome. It doesn't matter if you are an expert, just a beginner, have an interest from watching people play, or are just curious. We want this meetup to be a group that brings players and novices together to watch, learn, and just have fun. Our ultimate goal is to create a community of players from all dance games that welcome newcomers, foster talent, and connect people from across the city and suburbs.

Meetings should be scheduled for at least once a week and Friday is our current regular meeting night and are currently being scheduled at public arcades, small game rooms, and movie theaters. Home and private meetings are a goal. Irregular meetings will be scheduled. We also help promote most of the local gatherings in and around Chicago.
