1 - The QA within the development process - Mauricio Martinez

Many of you are used to the idea that you need to fight to get your voice heard as QA, for growing companies is important that we start to take our place in the Development process to help create a better product under the best guidelines and standards.

The QA figure time after time is being more recognise but we still have a lot to walk in, new tech approaching and be in touch with them would help us to advance in our career and learn more and more everyday.

I'm a Software engineer, working more then 6 years on this environment, moved to Berlin on April this year.I've had the chance of working with companies of all kinds from start up to really strong companies such as BMW or SAP, with all kinds of platforms and languages, focus on fast delivery methodologies such as Agile.

2 - 5 Tipps and Tricks on testing microservices - Jörg Pfründer

Abstract: When moving from a monolithic application to a microservice architecture you will face new challenges in testing your application. Things that have formerly been trivial to test will now cause an bigger effort on mocking and configuration.

Coming from a large java application we have introduced our first microservice about two years ago and we are still moving code to independent services. In this talk I will share our good and bad experiences on the topics testing tools, test configuration and deployment pipeline. The examples are based on the java platform but the principles should be applicable on any technology.

Jörg Pfründer is Senior Software Developer at Hypoport AG in Berlin and works on Germany's largest web based loan transaction platform EUROPACE. He is interested in automated functional testing throughout the whole test pyramid.
