Digital Transformation's Hackathon special :"Hack the crap out of @ flic button"

Hi there fellow techies, friendly hackers, jigsaw solvers and what not ! ;)

Have you ever been in the situation like, sitting in a restaurant or going through a shop and thought : " If only with 1 click I could .... " ?

Well, METRO and flic are hosting a Hackathon on the 5th of December and are on the hunt for creative ideas. Here's the challenge you will be up to :

• Have a great idea on how a flic button can be used in a restaurant, retail or wholesale business

• Hack the crap out of it and build a prototype

• Make a perfect pitch and win the prize ! :)

Q : Can you tell me more about flic and where can I find more information about it ?
A : Flic is a bluetooth enabled smart button that can be programmed to trigger any action on your smart phone. More about it on : https://flic.io/

Q : How should I register to the Hackathon ?
A : Register here by clicking on the "Yes" icon or send an email to hackathon@metro.de

Q : Who can participate ? Should we be a team ?
A : Anybody can participate. It is better if you have a team already. If you don't, we will find a way for you to participate, sign up and inform us that you are looking for team members.

Q : Can I forward this event to more people ?
A : Yes, please !

Q: I want to participate but I am not in Düsseldorf, does it work ?
A : To be an active member of the Hackathon, you need to be on site in Düsseldorf. If you can't come over but you are interested in the event, we will have a live broadcast. Stay tuned !

Q : Until when can I register ?
A : The registration will be open until Wednesday 2nd of December end of business day.
