Denver Happy Hour Meetup Members:

The Tuscan Wine Party with Cappezzana Winery is less than 2 weeks away and we have sold over 60% of the tickets. Along with the usual socializing that goes on in our group, this is a unique opportunity to meet the Count Leoni who is flying in from Italy to present his wines here in the US. The manager George has provided the tasting menu (see below) and we now have the Restaurant Week menu as well if you decide to stay for dinner afterwards (see below).

soon as the event will sell out. You are confirmed if you have paid and received an email from eventbrite. We will be moving non-paid RSVP's to waitlist on the meetup next week.

Please make sure your RSVP on eventbrite has your guests name. If you use an alias or initials in your meetup profile, please send me an email from your meetup profile with your full name so I can cross reference with the Eventbrite paid list. Please let us know if you want to stay for dinner so we have enough tables saved for our group on a busy night.

Countess Lisa Contini is one of the greatest home-cooks in Tuscany. Her husband Count Ugo, and many of her seven children work at the family winery and her table is always set for 12 to accommodate visiting family and friends, there to taste Tenuta di Capezzana?s fine wine. Count Ugo complains in jest that Lisa?s cooking is so good that wine taster forget to focus on the wine. The Estate?s extra virgin olive oil, a personal favourite, is an important element of Lisa's cucina . She cooks in an easygoing style, changing recipes according to what?s in the garden and is hard to pin down about quantities.

Pizza Republica is participating in Restaurant Week. If you decide to stay for dinner, you may order off the menu or choose from the following 3 course meal at a special Restaurant Week price of $26.50 per person or $52.80 per couple:

First Course, Il Primo (choice of):
? PEI Mussels Arrabiata ~ Prince Edward Island Mussels steamed with white wine, sherry, garlic, shallot, red pepper and pomodoro sauce, with crisp rustic bread
? The ?Meatball? ~ Simply the best meatball you will ever have
? Mixed Greens Salad ~ Balsamic vinaigrette, pickled pearl onions, balsamic roasted tomatoes, Parmigiano-Reggiano
? Caesar Salad ~ Crisp romaine hearts, house made dressing and croutons, white anchovy, and Parmigiano-Reggiano
Second Course, Il Secondo (choice of):
? Wood-Fired Pizza ~ Choose from any of our specialty pizzas: Classic Margherita, Crisp Pancetta, Pizza Rustica, Traditional Neapolitan, Pizza Georgio, or Pizza Giacomo; ask your server about their favorite!
