Frozen Lake

Frozen Lake is located in RMNP above Black Lake. This is a long, somewhat strenuous hike for experienced hikers only, but if you've been to Black Lake you know how beautiful this trail is, and the beauty continues beyond Black Lake.

Weather is unpredictable at these elevations, be prepared for anything.

Carpool Location

We will meet at the park-n-ride at 88th and Sheridan at 6:00 in order to be at the trailhead by 7:30. I expect to be at the north end of the lot, look for my red SUV. We will carpool to the Bear Lake trailhead in RMNP. Those up north can meet us here.

Additional Terms and Conditions

You are responsible for knowing where the carpool location and the trailhead are and getting there on time. You are responsible for researching the trail and knowing your own limits. You are responsible for dressing appropriately and bringing the necessary gear, water and snacks. This trip--as are all trips with this group unless otherwise noted--is an all day outing, do not sign up if you have other obligations that afternoon. The pace will be moderately fast, you will need to be in good shape to do this trip. It is considered poor etiquette to cancel at the last minute; any cancellation within 24 hours of the start of this meetup for any reason will be treated as a no-show.
