What's your fitness level- decent, pretty darn good, I am trying to get in shape, I just ran a marathon on a 14er?
Pretty darn good - can comfortably hike a 14-er on any given day.
What activities are you most interested in doing with the group? Hiking, Snowshoeing, Backpacking, Camping, etc...
