Beginner Plus Class and dancing at the Highland House!

  • Jan 29, 2010 · 8:30 PM
  • Motion En Fuego

Let's get our dance going together at the studio, Motion En Fuego. I'll teach a Beginner Plus class from 8:30-9:30 and then we'll head over to the Highland House to dance the night away! Both the studio and The Highland House are located in the Highlands. The class will be great if you are a beginner but I'll also add some extra "stuff" in for you intermediate dancers. I aim to create a class in which everyone can learn something new and fun to dance. Then we can gravy train it a short distance to the Highland House so we can practice with each other and all the other dancers there. This should be a good one, so please try to make it!

Oh, by the way, the Highland House does not have a bar but you are welcome to BYOB. Come prepared! The address for The Highland House is 3617 Osage. This is 1 block east of Pecos and 2 blocks south of 38th.

The Details:
8:30-9:30pm - Beginner Plus class at Motion En Fuego
9:30 - ? -- Open Dancing at the Highland House

Cost: $5 for the class at Motion En Fuego, $6 cover charge at The Highland House

It was great to have the lesson separate from the open dancing, it is much easier to learn with people at the same skill level, and much less pressure!

We had a great group with even numbers of men & women at the studio class and a decent group followed over to the Highland House. I had a fun time teaching and watching everyone dance the night away. What a fun Friday night! Thanks to everyone for showing up and making it great!

The Higland House is a very friendly and comfortable place for a get together. There are tables chairs and sofas to make you feel at home. No alcohol is served but you are encouraged to bring your own. The salsa crowd here is laid back and the music played here by Jim and Antonio is top notch ! This is a great place to practice your dancing without feeling social pressure. Don't miss it !
