This is a must do! If you ever wanted to climb a 14er or all of them, you should take this class. This class will give you a good idea of where to go, what to expect, what to do and not do as well as what to take. I took this class about 6 weeks ago. I was so inspired that I have climbed 4 since then and hope to complete 10 by the end of this year. Time is running out because the weather begins getting nasty at the end of September.
REI Description: Join REI as we give you the basic essentials and know-how to tackle the Colorado giants, the 14,000 foot peaks (14er). You'll learn about food, equipment, training, weather and safety considerations. A Colorado Fourteener's Initiative (CFI) representative may be available for additional information about the peaks.
I may or may not attend this tonight since was at the REI Downtown store last night for the ?The Tao of Everest-An Inspirational Evening with Ian Woodall?. This was an incredibly informative, inspiring and very entertaining. So please let me know if you?ll be attended?
