The Evolution of a Widget

Details
When asked if he would like to design the next generation widget for UserVoice, John thought it would be accomplished in a couple of weeks (maybe months). Fast forward almost a year later and UserVoice is almost ready to launch the Touchpoint Toolkit (http://uservoice.com/touchpoint-toolkit). It's been a year entirely consumed by the design of a single widget. At times it seems like John's entire design life has been confined to a 300x300 pixel box. This has been both challenging and rewarding.
Join us as we explore the life and times of a feedback and support widget. John will talk about the design process, explore early mockups and prototypes, discuss UX decisions, and review the feedback received during the beta process.
UserVoice (http://uservoice.com) is a feedback and support company based in San Francisco with an office here in Raleigh.
John Long (http://wiseheartdesign.com/) is a UX Designer at UserVoice and is fanatical about code and design. He's the creator of Radiant CMS (http://radiantcms.org) and Serve (http://get-serve.com). John writes about CSS & Sass for The Sass Way (http://thesassway.com).
