Jeff Young: Break the guidelines! Lessons from designing on two mobile platforms for 25 million users
Jeff is a graduate of Stanford's Design program and previously has done work for Google, Dropbox, Hyundai, Fitbit and many other Silicon Valley startups.
With a background in art and product design, his vocation now is to create intuitive and delightful experiences. His process involves a lot of sketching and paper prototyping.
If you ask him to draw you a robot he will, as he is constantly putting them on whatever is lying around.
David Simonarson

Russell Hanabusa
A patented engineer with a passion for stopping the damage caused by harmful people. Developer of a new identification system that identifies by DNA and wireless tagging criminals like kidnappers, muggers, rapists, and terrorists.
Presentation:
Skinsamplers are wearable low cost devices that identify harmful people by DNA and wireless tagging.
SkinSamplers are small devices ranging in size from a coin down to 2[mm] square. SkinSamplers take and hold samples of skin (DNA) from anyone they touch. SkinSamplers can do this even without the person’s consent or awareness. The following picture shows SkinSamplers next to a penny. Military SkinSamplers can be as small as a flea.

Paul Orland
Paul is CTO at Tachyus, and he was previously an engineer at Microsoft. He is rallying the engineering team at Tachyus around the F# language -- a mature, open-source, functional-first language that is growing in popularity. In addition, Tachyus uses Objective-C and AngularJS to build rich client experiences for iOS and for the browser.
Presentation:
Tachyus builds technology to optimize energy production for the multi-trillion dollar oil and gas industry. In order for modern producers to succeed, they must reinvent themselves as data companies -- Tachyus is facilitating that transition. The first components of the Tachyus platform are a mobile data collection app and a web-based reporting interface, targeted at eliminating paper from oilfield workflows and making data collection seamless.
Pete Tormey
I am a parallel entrepreneur (got several things going) and an experienced patent attorney.
Presentation:
A new web app for people who hate being stuck in traffic:
http://www.time2gohome.com Just enter your commute and a commute time. When the traffic drops below your desired travel time it sends an email letting you know it's time to go.
It's nice to know when traffic breaks up early - you get to go home early.
